Wordless(ish) Wednesday

These are old, but I haven't had a chance to upload the pics from Christmas and the rest of my December pictures. This was the day of Max's 1st Bday Party #2. We had pizza for lunch. First he ate all the hamburger and cheese off the top, and then demolished the pizza. He looks so grown up!

Beau Bain Review and Giveaway- 2 Winners!

As a mom, I don't get a lot of "Me-Time." Max keeps me pretty busy, as does my husband. I'm sure I'm only preachin' to the choir here, right? :o) One of my very favorite alone activities is a nice, hot bubble bath. There is nothing more relaxing, with some candles, soft music, maybe a magazine or book, and definitely a lock on the door!
Beau Bain is french for "beautiful bath" and, their bath products are just that. Beau Bain creates natural body creams, scrubs, and bath bombs using the finest ingredients from all over the world. The bath bombs are made in Portland, Oregon, but "found in the world's finest spas, hotels, and private residences and have even reportedly transformed the private bathing chambers of royalty!" This definitely grabbed my attention! Beau Bain recently launched a new line of Petite Bath Bombs in a jar. I was contacted about reviewing some bath bombs and of course I could not turn them down! I received the rainbow sherbet petite bath bombs to review. This scent is inspired by the popular frozen treat, and is a combination of orange, grapefruit, apple, peach and finished with a hint of loganberry. It smells dee-LISH-ous!! I'm thisclose to eating one every time I open the container. No really... Anyways, you just drop in 1-3 bombs into your bathwater, and let your stress fizz away with your bath bomb. I love bath bombs, the way they fizzle away in your water, and fill up the bathroom with a soft scent. Now I'm craving a bath.

Happy Green Bee Review and Giveaway

"Where childhood is a time for high-energy play, creative exploration and wholesome natural goodness. Discover comfy organic cotton, simple stylish designs and cheerful gender-free colors to be mixed and matched in endless combinations for organic kids clothes that are as fun to buy as they are to wear."

I was recently introduced to Happy Green Bee, a line of organic children clothing that are "gender-free." And my favorite part is the trademark stripes! Cute!! Each item of clothing comes in about seven color patterns, that you can mix and match with their solids. They have long- and short-sleeve tees, cardigans, reversible hoodies, shorts, leggings, and dresses. And they have the cutest baby sock hat.
I have never really been the granola mommy, who only buys organic clothes and food. But Max does have a few items of organic clothing, and I have to admit, they are sooooo soft. Happy Green Bee sent me this radish/bean (I LOVE how the colors are named after foods!!) cardigan. Just in time for Christmas! Now, my husband said he thought it was a little "girly" for Max, and I can see what he means. I don't think it's the colors, but more so the style of the sweater. But, Max is only one, so I don't think it's that big of a deal. I think if he had the green pants, it would make it more boyish.

Two Tinas Review and Giveaway

I bet you get tired of hearing about how much I love personalized everything, but I really do! I don't know what happens, but the second you become a parent, anything with you child's name on it becomes OH-SO-ADORABLE-I-MUST-HAVE-IT!! Seriously, if you show me a product that can be personalized with Max's name on it, it's a safe bet that I will own that item.

Two Tinas specializes in personalized baby products, mostly blankets, but they have so adorable onesies and hoodies. The Classic Blanket features a solid color on one side and matching striped pattern on the other, with a monogram in the corner. The Signature Blanket is available in 13 fun, bold patterns and a large monogram. The Huggie B blanket is made of extra soft, plush fabric that is fluffy and lightweight, perfect for snuggling. It also comes monogrammed. All monograms are hand, stitched on felted wool.
Two Tinas was kind enough to send me a "My Name" Receiving Blanket. I was so excited when I got it in the mail. The blanket is nice and heavy (100% cotton), so you know that it's made well, but not too heavy for a baby. It's, literally, a perfect blanket for any season. I love the fun font of Max's name. It totally fits his personality. And the light blue accents the dark blue perfectly. I am so happy with this blanket.

Cheap Cookie Cutters Review

I'm not much of a cook, but I do love to bake! You know they say cooking is an art, but baking is a science. I think that's why I like it, because if I just follow the recipe, I can't screw it up... too badly, anyway. I also think sweets are just more fun to make and EAT! And now Christmas is here, which is the best baking time!

Cheap Cookie Cutters is pretty self explanatory, I think. :o) You can find a cookie cutter in almost any shape you could possibly want, at affordable prices! How cute is this Mickey Mouse cutter? My grandma collects Mickey Mouse items, so she would probably love this! And the baby bottle cutter would be so cute at a baby shower, wouldn't it? One of my favorites has to be the alphabet cutter set. I think it would make teaching your little one their ABC's so much fun for both of you!
I received the Christmas cutter set, including a tree, santa, angel, and candy cane. I used this recipe for sugar cookies I found on joyofbaking.com. It was actually kind of a long process, but the cutters were really easy to use. The only issue I had was with the candy cane, and since it was so narrow, the dough kept tearing at the curve. Next time, I don't think I will roll the dough out as thinly.
Here's my finished cookies! Don't they look yummy? They tasted amazing too. I love that the cookies stayed true to the shape of the cutters. I think the trick was to put the pans in the fridge for 10-15 minutes after cutting the dough and before putting them in the oven to bake.

I don't think you will find better cookie cutters at such a great price than with cheapcookiecutters.com. Cookie cutters make great stocking stuffers, or even a cute gift embellishment, if you tie it to the outside of a present with ribbon. And keep in mind, that if you give someone a cookie cutter as a gift, you will more than likely get yummy cookies in return!

Chocolate.com Review

"Chocolate.com features handmade, artisan, and gourmet chocolate gifts from world-class chocolate vendors. We bring together the chocolate chef and the gift buyer to form a unique marketplace."

I did a review and giveaway for Chocolate.com a few weeks ago. I told them to send me anything, and I received a box of fudge, which I later wrote that I wasn't crazy about fudge. Then, the awesome rep of Chocolate.com insisted that she send me something else to review, since I didn't like the first thing. How nice is that? Talk about great customer service! I was blown away.

And since Christmas is, literally, right around the corner (6 days, OMG!!) I thought a Christmas review would be perfect. Chocolate.com has so many amazing holiday products. You still have time to grab some gifts and party treats! It was so hard to pick just a few pictures to display here. Everything looks so amazing and gorgeous. So I picked the Holiday Santa Pants (so adorable!), the 3 lb Merry Christmas Cheesecake (oh how I want to eat this whole thing!!), and the Sweetest Sleigh Ride (filled with some of my very favorite products).
Chocolate.com sent me the 12 Piece Christmas Collection to review. I mentioned this item in my last review, so I was so excited to actually be able to try it. The little holiday pictures are so sweet. When the package arrived, I was so excited. Once again, a picture just does not do the real product justice. The flavors included the the collection are Omega (olive oil & fleur de Sel), Tangerine, Hazelnut and Meyer Lemon Olive Oil with dark chocolate. OMGosh Amazing!! Surprisingly, my favorite was the Omega. The flavors are rich, bold, and downright delcious. We ate almost the whole box right away. It's dangerously good. :o)

Chocolate.com has absolutely persuaded me to become a full time customer. I don't know many people who wouldn't love chocolate as a gift and I will be turning to Chocolate.com for all my chocolate needs.

Baby Star review and giveaway

"a baby star is born every day. baby star is a baby apparel and accessories company that designs modern classics for the texture-loving child. born out of the desire to balance style and functionality, baby star strives to create essential items for both baby and parent in a clean, simple and modern way. "

I was introduced to Baby Star a few months ago through, what else, blog giveaways. I actually won a Rock the Tote print diaper bag, which I love! I can't believe all the cute baby products they have, really. From diaper pouches, hooded towels and blankets, to bibs, burp cloths, and clothes, including the extremely adorable baby kimonos! I would have loved one of these when Max was still new enough that he had his umbilical cord, for easy cleaning. Baby Star also has awesome weekly specials, that feature some of their best products at amazing prices. Baby Star sent me this poodle blanket to review. I love the fun print around the outside, but my favorite feature is that it is so warm and so cuddly. My favorite part of the day is to wrap Max up in one of his blankets and cuddle with him in our rocking chair. It happens less and less, so I really treasure these moments. Max doesn't have a "security blanket" yet, but if he does decide he needs one, I wouldn't be surprised a bit if he chose his baby star blanket.

Happeez by Mayfair Lane; Review and Giveaway

Happeez by Mayfair Lane is an innovative new line of clips, frames, listpads, and whiteboards. What's so special about this line? They grip where magnets grip, but more importantly, they grip to surfaces that magnets don't, like stainless steel, mirrors, glass, and more! They are restickable and leave no icky residue. How cool is that?! And their patters are funky and fresh, not to mention CUTE. I can't think of a better stocking stuffer. I also think these would be great for the student in your life for lockers and dorm rooms.

Mayfair Lane sent me this Happeez notepad with the pink and red butterflies. It's adorable. I have been using it since the day I got it. I'm a list maker. I make lists about everything. I have to have notepads around, anyway, so why not make it a cute one? And with 50 sheets, it will last me awhile. I also love that I could stick it on my bathroom mirror, because I always think of stuff I need while I'm in the shower, and promptly forget later, when I'm making my list.
I also received this Happeez mini photo frame in the cherry blossoms design. Oh, it's cute! The quality of the frame is surprising. I expected, from the pictures, that it would be a cardboard or something. Actually it is a canvas-type material. I'm still trying to decide what picture to put in it! The Mayfair Lane website shows one frame being used as place settings at a family dinner. Great idea!!
Finally, I received this Happeez clipper in the pink dots pattern. These clippers are so darn handy, and cute on top of it! My fridge has tons of papers and pictures and invitations and appointment notes attached to the front. I have always loved the clippy type magnets. Now I can use them anywhere, not just the fridge. Love! I will definitely be purchasing more of each of these in the future!
