HoneyBunnyStudios Review and Giveaway

HoneyBunnyStudio is another super cute Etsy shop I discovered last month. The shop specializes in super cute wall d├ęcor for nurseries, children’s rooms, and playrooms. Check out their official website and blog too.

I love this birth announcement print. What a cute way to remember your baby’s birth details. I also love that the size is 13x9, so a little bigger than your typical prints you would find.

How cute is this alphabet art print? I think the Broadway-type font is funky, the colors are fun, and I love each letter has its own little illustration. We have a similar alphabet print hanging over our changing table, and Max loves to point out the letters. I love that it reminds me to sing and practice the alphabet song during diaper changes.

HoneyBunnyStudio sent me a set of the 3-in-1 Learning Kit flashcards. The kit includes all 26 letters of the alphabet with upper and lowercase letters and illustrations for each, Numbers 1 through 10 with illustrations, and 10 colors and their names, with coordination color swatches for recognition. At first impression, the cards are a little smaller than I anticipated, but they really are a great size for fitting in my purse or Max’s backpack – perfect activity for restaurants or dr’s office waiting area. They are also the perfect size for Christmas stockings, which is where mine are headed. The cards are printed on nice quality cardstock, and they come in a nice little travel case.

One lucky MLG winner will receive the Alphabet Art 13x19 print or a set of flash cards!

To be entered: Visit the HappyBunnyStudio Etsy shop or website and tell me something you loved. (Please leave your email so I have a way to contact you if you win.)

You guys! My computer is done. Dead. Forever. I can't get my reviews and giveaways done at work. I'm getting desperate. I'm scrounging for extra money (what's that???) and looking for used or cheap computers. I'm really hoping on a Christmas bonus from work to get a new one. But for now, please stick with me and I promise good things are coming!
To my sponsors: I realize this is not good timing, but I'm going to get every one of your posts up!

SheSewChic Review and Giveaway

Uh oh, you guys. I have a post featuring two of my VERY favorite things: Etsy and Christmas!!

SheSewChic is an awesome Etsy shop I stumbled across. You can design your own, personalized Christmas stocking choosing the sock pattern, band patter, font style and color. The possibilities are nearly endless. I think these stockings are so fun and playful, and unique. I've never seen any stockings like this, and I like it that way! Check out combination ideas on their facebook page. SheSewChic also makes super cute embroidered clothing, cosmetic bags, and cloth wipes.

SheSewChic let me design my own stocking. Max already has a stocking from last year, but I don't, so I was totally selfish and got it with my name on it. I love it so much that I'm already picking out patterns to get hubby one. I placed my order, and the stocking was in my mailbox within days. I was surprised how quickly it came, but I was even more surprised by the size! This thing is huge! I would guess that it's easily double the standard size of Christmas stockings you buy at the store. Over the last few years, I've done a lot of price comparisons on personalized, and you really can't find a better deal than SheSewChic. I thought the material might be your basic cotton, but it's actually upholstery fabric, so definitely sturdy and I know it's going to last for many years to come. I had fun picking out the various pattern and color combinations, and it's definitely ME! I can't wait to hang them all up!

One lucky MLG winner is going to receive a $20 gift certificate to SheSewChic! To be entered, just let me know your favorite stocking combination from the Etsy Shop or Facebook page! (Mandatory)

ToiletTree Review and Giveaway

My husband is a man. Meaning, he's not quite as neat and tidy as I would like. One of my biggest pet peeves is when he shaves, leaving hundreds of tiny hairs all over my bathroom sink. Gross! It's something I figured I would always have to deal with, until I could afford a place with my own bathroom. But I found another solution!

The ToiletTree Fogless Shower mirror is pretty awesome. The mirror adheres to your shower wall, and remains fogless during the shower. It was super easy to put up, and we haven't had any problems with it yet. My very favorite feature is that I no longer have to clean out hair from the sink. Hallelujah!! The husband says that the shave is better in the shower, than when he did it over the sink, so we're both happy. The Fogless Shower mirror works great, not only for shaving, but removing makeup, tweezing, and exfoliating, just to name a few. It's shatter-proof, rust-proof, and designed to be fogless for a lifetime. This is definitely a great gift idea for the man (or lady) in your life.

One lucky MLG reader is going to win a ToiletTree Fogless Shower Mirror too! Please visit the ToiletTree website and tell me something else you learned.

Baby Bond Review and Giveaway

Breastfeeding as a new mom can be one of the most challenging and most rewarding experiences of your life. It's amazing knowing that your body is responding and you are providing all the nourishment that your baby needs. But it's also a very unfamiliar, uncomfortable experience, and unfortunately, our society doesn't help the situation. Luckily, the mall we usually go to has a "family room" that provides a comfy couch where you can breastfeed in private, and eventually I got the confidence and courage to breastfeed out "in the open" (with a cover of course - I'm not that brave). I always felt a little bad that Max had to eat while being covered up.

I'm really excited to share with you BabyBond Couture. This wrap doubles as nursing top and a belly band and the size is customizable to fit your body the way it needs to. To use as the top, you wrap it around the side you want, and you can discreetly pull your breast out the opening, so you are completely covered up, and your baby doesn't have to be! If you are like me, you I never bought a lot of nursing tops, just pulled my shirt up. But, I always felt uncomfortable with my saggy belly being exposed. The BabyBond Couture wraps around your belly, so you can breastfeed without worrying about what others are seeing.

When I first got my BabyBond Couture, I had to try it out, to see if I could figure it out. It only took me a couple minutes of practice to get it on, and honestly it's really easier than I thought it would be. One thing I really liked was that you could roll it up and fold it into it's own, self-storing pouch. Just roll it up, flip it inside the pouch and you can toss it in your diaper bag. Super handy. Super easy. I love it.

BabyBond is offering a 75% discount on their site for any reader who orders a BabyBond on Now you will be able to buy 2 BabyBonds for less than $46!!! All you need to do is email a copy of your receipt from Babies R Us to, and she will reply with a 75% off discount code to order another BabyBond on their site with 75% off.

One MLG reader will win a BabyBond wrap too (BabyBond Original Turquoise size 2)! To be entered, just visit BabyBond and tell me which one is your favorite! (mandatory)

My Baby Clothes Boutique Article & Giveaway

Best Gifts Ideas for Moms and Children

Baby showers, baby births, first birthdays, Holidays: when small children are involved, every day is a celebration (rightfully!) and there is always an occasion for gift-giving (joyfully!) Based on my observations of how (and for how long) my children and their friends stay engaged with the gifts they receive, I have developed a go-to shopping list of tried and true gifts for tots (and moms) alike:

Gifts I Always Know I Want
When friends and relatives inquire about what my children are interested in, my go-to answer is craft supplies. As a mom, I appreciate any gift that fosters my children’s creativity, challenges their imaginations, and keeps them actively engaged for more than five minutes at a time. Children of most ages love coloring, drawing, painting, sculpting, cutting, gluing, beading, decorating, and creating of any kind. The versatility of crafts, the way they last from one playtime to the next, and their potential for being shared with siblings and friends all contribute to the high-marks I give to crafty gifts.

Gifts I Never Knew I Wanted Until I Got Them
When my older daughter was four, a dear family friend gave us a set of beginning readers called Bob Books. I thanked her politely, wrote a gracious thank-you note, and thought to myself, “isn’t four a little too young to start reading?” The Bob Books sat on a shelf for about a month until one day, on a whim, I pulled them down and started to use them with my daughter. With no formal teacher training or any prior experience teaching someone to read, I taught my first daughter (and two years later my second daughter, when she turned 4) how to read, using this great set of books!

From set 1 to set 4 (and these days, there is also a set 5), both children progressed incredibly smoothly with these simple, sort of non-sensical, but repetitive and consistent books that helped my young readers turn letter and sound recognition into words, words into sentences, and sentences into books. I never expected to teach my children to read at the ages of 4, but in hindsight, I feel like it is one of the best advantages I have ever given them! I never knew I wanted Bob Books until I got them, but now I make sure to gift them to other moms whenever I have the chance.

Gifts I Always Knew I Wanted but Wouldn’t Have Bought for Myself
For the most part, I’m a practical gal, so when it comes to buying clothing for my daughters, I’ve always shopped with an eye for items that can stand up to falls, survive stains, and live long enough to be handed-down. Which is why when it comes to giving and receiving gifts, I love to break free of the constraints of practicality and go for the whimsical, the unique, the trendy, and even the handle-with-care items. I make it a habit to give to others the hand-smocked dresses and perfectly princess tutus that moms like me adore, but don’t ordinarily buy for ourselves. If it has organza, tulle, taffeta or trim, it’s on my list. Give me all of the lace, frills, ruffles, flowered headbands, and dainty embroidery that you have in stock! It’s fine to be practical, but some of the greatest gifts are those that buck the everyday and go for the fabulous!

Time and Sand Review and Giveaway

Let me introduce you to Time and Sand. I found this shop on Etsy, and I'm in love. Obviously.

How pretty is this Teal Beaded Bracelet? I think it's gorgeous. This bracelet is made with czech glass beads and lampwork beads wrapped with sterling silver wire with a sterling toggle clasp. It's handmade, created with care and love. I would love to see how that looks around my wrist.

I love this Twisted Ring. It's handmade, of course, and just awesome. I'm not normally into gold jewelry, but there is just something about this funky design that I think I can make an exception.

Carrie from Time and Sand sent me one of these fabulous birthstone family tree pendant and it's breathtaking. I tried and tried to get a good picture, but it just wasn't happening, so I'm using a picture from the shop. The necklace is sterling silver with swarovski crystals on a silver chain. I decided to get the necklace for my mom, with birthstones of all the grandkids; we have one April (white), two Decembers (light blue) and 2 Januarys (deep burgandy/red). When I opened the box, I was blown away. The necklace is stunning. Stunning. The handwork is amazing, the twisted trunk of the tree is just beautiful, and I know it's going to mean a lot to my mom. It's just gorgeous. And I've never seen anything like it before. Definitely one of a kind.

One lucky MLG reader is going to win a Bead Lady Brooch from Time and Sand. This sweet lady is made from glass and swarovski beads on wire. Each lady is made individually, so the look will be a little different. What a great gift this would make for your mom or grandma (or yourself!)

Scentsy Review and Giveaway

Have you ever heard of Scentsy before? I first heard about Scentsy on Facebook about a year ago, from a friend who was a consultant and selling the products. To be honest, I didn't pay too much attention, and besides the occasional status update reminding of last minute orders, I didn't think much about it. Until another friend become a consultant. And then another one, and then people were talking about it all over the place. And then when I got the offer to do a review with Scentsy, well I was itching to try it out for myself, and see what all the fuss was about.

Basically Scentsy is the best solution for candle lovers. I love them, and have candles in nearly ever room of my house. My husband, on the other hand, is the biggest worry ward there ever was. He's constantly nervous about fires. And I live in an apartment, where we're really not allowed to have candles anyway.

Scentsy gives you everything you love about candles, while taking away everything you don't. You start by picking out your "warmer." You might want to pick one for every room, because there are just too many cute designs. I love the October Warmer of the Month. The "Give Thanks" is just perfect.
Warmers are plugged into the wall, and have a light bulb in the base. There is a tray over the light bulb where you put your "bricks" or scented, wax blocks. The bulb melts the bricks and releases your fragrance. Pretty simple right? And the best part - no fire to worry about, and no heat, so it's safe for little fingers!

Scentsy was kind enough to send me this Greenwich warmer and two scent bars: Home Sweet Home and Cinnamon Vanilla. I was really excited to try it out, and plugged it in as soon as the box arrived. I love this warmer! It's totally my style - I love the simple, yet modern look. It's not too much, but the lines and color are just cool. I love that not only does it have a function, but it looks good too. And the scents, oh my gosh the scents! I could not believe how powerful the scent would be. You can really smell it from every room in the apartment. I can definitely see what all the fuss is about. Now I'm excited to try out more scents! And I've got my eye on a few new warmers for the rest of the house too.

Guess what?! One very lucky MLG reader will win a warmer and a scent brick too!! To be entered, just leave me a comment telling me one warmer and one type of scent you would like. (MANDATORY)

Save Money with Shutterfly this Holiday Season

You know, it's almost that time of year when the Christmas greetings start rolling into your mailbox. I love when my box is filled with brightly colored envelopes, instead of the usual bills. I enjoy opening up each card that a dear friend or family member sent to my family, and the photo cards are my very favorite. You know the ones with the gorgeous photos of those smiling faces you love the most. When I started a family, I knew I wanted to send out those same gorgeous cards, not the generic ones you buy in the store. But, ohmyGAH! Have you been to a professional photographer who offers amazing "deals" on cards? You get like 12 cards for 35 dollars. What?! Who can afford that?? Let me tell you, you can still have those amazing cards to send out without taking out a loan. Have a friend take pictures of your family, or learn how to use the timer button, and just have fun with your favorites! Trust me, you think it's going to be impossible, but digital cameras are amazing because they have that little erase button, so you have unlimited tries. Even if you take hundreds of shots, you are bound to get one gem. So now that you have your favorite pictures (or pictures) the really hard part start. Choosing this year's Christmas card. has lots and lots (and lots) of amazing cards that can take you amateur picture and make a professional holiday card. Seriously, these cards are stunning. This Peppermint Pink Christmas Card is in first place so far, my my family's card. I LOVE the pinks. (Goes well with the blog, doesn't it??) Good luck picking out only ONE card. (Well, who says you only have to have one card.....)
With all the money you are saving by not buying from a professional photographer, you can go ahead and get some Christmas gift tags and invitations while you are at it.
Check out Shutterfly on Twitter and Facebook!

Pear Tree - Holiday Review and Giveaway

I haven't written about Pear Tree for a few months, but you know I have to talk to you about Christmas cards, right? Christmas is in 2 months. (AGHHHH!!!!!) so you don't have much time to get your family pictures taken and your cards ordered.

Pear Tree Greetings has just unveiled their new line of Christmas cards and they sent me several to check out. As usual, I'm thrilled about the quality of the cards - heavy 100 lb Matte Card Stock, which is also 100% post-consumer recycled. The photo Christmas cards have great picture quality. They are just beautiful. I love the fresh, fun colors, and there are such great ideas, some that I have never heard of - one of my favorites is the storybook layout card - there is space for pictures and text so you can include favorite memories throughout the year, kind of like a holiday letter and Christmas card all wrapped in one. So neat. There is also an amazing selection of party invites and thank you cards. Please promise me you will check them out. I also received a sample packet of thank you cards, including regular thank you cards, and Holiday thank you cards. Letting someone know you much you appreciate them is a very important thing. Anytime someone cares enough to spend money on your, or take time to help you, or even just offer their friendship, it's important that you take the time to let them know how much it means to you. Pear Tree offers an amazing selection of beautiful designs and colors, something for everybody.

And aren't you just so excited that one lucky reader is going to win a set of thank you cards?!

Leave a comment letting me know the best thank you card you either received or sent.

PartyLite Review

You may have heard of PartyLite, or maybe not. If not, listen up. PartyLite is kind of like Tupperware. You can host a party or become a consultant, or you can just buy up every thing your little heart can see, because trust me, you are going to want it all. The PartyLite website is awesome, because they list all their products into easy-to-navigate categories, and even have sections categorized by who you are buying for. I wish I could list every item you could buy, but there is just not enough time, so I really have to struggle and narrow it down to just a few of my favorites. But please check out the website to see all the options. Do it now, I'll wait.

With Halloween only TWO weeks away, you know I have to feature these cute little kitties!! I want them all. The three smaller tealight holders are just so sweet. And I love the face on the Sly Black Cat Holder. Perfect for decorating.

If you love candles like I do, but have a worrier husband, like I do, then PartyLite's new Scentglow Warmers are the perfect compromise. You get the great scent and glow, without the worry of a flame. And they are seriously cute. You just pick your melt (or mix and match to create your own scent!) and you have a new candle anytime you want. Very cool.

I want this Change-O-Luminary! The luminary comes with 6 magnetic panels, so you can keep yours plain, or change it with the season. So neat! I love seasonal decorations that I can leave up all year round. Love.

PartyLite sent me one of their new square, 5-wick candle in Cinnamon and Bayberry and the gorgeous glass holder. Let me repeat myself, FIVE WICKS!! It's huge, and more wicks, means more amazing scent. YAY! My house smells like Christmas. It's awesome! I'm super happy with the look (even though one of the wicks was broken off when I pulled it out of the box.) and I'm super happy with the scent. I've been to the PartyLite website several, and I do mean several, times picking out my next gifts. For others, and for myself. ;o)

Disclaimer: PartyLite sent me product in exchange for this post. I was not compensated in any other way, and this is 100% my own opinion.

That's Caring Review and Giveaway

"We designed our packaging and shipping process so that when a That’s Caring basket goes off into the world, it tiptoes, not stampedes, across the Earth."

Don't you just love that? That's Caring is a company that offers amazing gifts and focus on packaging and shipping processes that are as green as possible, using recycled materials and buying local to be as evironmentally friendly as possible.
The afternoon break cookies look so good! Four different kinds of homemade cookies and five kinds of hot chocolate. Sounds good to me!

The fresh start package would be the perfect housewarming gift! This basket has everything you need to clean your house, but the best part is they are all environmentally friendly and biodegradable. No harsh chemicals either.

That's Caring has gift sets for pets too! I love this large dog gone green package. Included in this set is a hemp rope toy, hemp bone toy, pet wipes, and for the lucky doggie's owner, a set of note cards. Best of all proceeds from Earth Dog products go back to kody's fund, a non-profit organization that funds spay and neuter programs.

That's Caring sent me a tub therapy in lavender to try out for myself. This set comes with body butter, natural bar soap, liquid hand soap, bath salts, shower gel, and a soy candle, all in the lavender scent. I really loved the recyled basket! I'm reusing it to hold some of my sewing fabric. Just doing my part. :) It's really great.

The products are very nice too! The same day I got my package, I treated myself to a nice little mommy-spa. I lit the candle, and had a nice little bath. I was very pleased with all of the products I used and the scent is very nice and soothing. A really great side note: all of these products come from The Enterprising Kitchen, a fair-trade, nonprofit enterprise that provides workforce development and support services for women working towards self-sufficiency and economic independence. That is so amazing.

Check out That's Caring for even more awesome gift ideas!
One lucky MLG reader is going to win the same tub therapy in lavender that I reviewed!

Storkie Express Review and Giveaway

It's that time of year again! Time to start getting that perfect family photo and working on your Christmas Card list. I love the holidays, when there is a new envelope in the mail every day with Christmas (or Hannakah or Holiday) greetings from the people you love the most, sharing their letters and photos. I keep all of mine every year, and hang them up through the winter. There are so many different places you can create and order your Holiday Greetings, but may I offer one suggestion, check out Storkie Express. They have a generous selection of Holiday and Christmas Cards, Photo Cards, and even custom stamps, which is something I've never heard of! (Oh and they have other kinds of invitations and stationary as well!)

Storkie Express graciously allowed me to review a set of Holiday Cards, and let me tell you, it was incredibly difficult to choose. I originally thought I would do a photo card, but 1) I am just not that on-top-of-it and didn't get pictures done in time. I'm not super mom, by any means. And 2) I just fell in love with the Diamond Flower Modern Holiday Card. I love the color combination, I think the blue, grey and white are just so winter, and the red just pops in all the right places. The pattern along the left side is so pretty, and the open space on the right is perfect. I loved the wording and the font, and didn't want to change a thing, even though you have to option to completely customize everything about this card! Love that! Designing and ordering from the website was a breeze. I've been on some sites that just seem too much of a hassle and downright impossible to navigate. Storkie Express was great, and I couldn't be happier with my Holiday cards. The cards are printed on 110lb cardstock, so they have a nice, heavy feel. They are even more gorgeous in real life, and I love that you can get your return address printed on the envelopes to match. I was just 100% satisfied in every way, shape, and form. I will definitely be ordering from Storkie Express again.

$19.95 Value, 1 sheet of custom postage stamps with standard shipping for the stamps (1 sheet has 20 $0.44 cent stamps)
These are so cool! You can choose a design to match your cards, or upload your favorite picture! How neat!!

My Baby Clothes Boutique Review and Giveaway

You've seen My Baby Clothes Boutiqute on MLG before. We've been lucky enough to have a few guest posts from the talented writers at My Baby Clothes Boutique (click the link at the bottom of the post to see them all!) but today, I'm excited to show some of my favorite item available at MBCB. You can find these great outfits, and more including baby hats and headbands, tutus, and gifts.

I love, love, love this Holiday Tutu Set. I love everything about it. I dream of having a girl, for tutus and hair bows alone. I'm digging the striped leggings too.

I wish I had this Baby Baseball Three-Piece Layette Set in All-Star Gift Box when Max was born. It would have been perfect as a coming-home outfit. My husband played baseball through high school and college, and this would have been the perfect start to Max's career in baseball. ;o)

This pink ballerina onesie from Mud Pie makes me want a girl so bad! I'm in love with all the pink and ruffles. The bow, and the personalization are the icing on the cake. Too sweet.

I want to get this Robot by Baby Bol outfit for Max. Wouldn't it make the cutest Christmas cards?? I'm loving the sweater vest. Argyle!! *sigh*

My Baby Clothes Boutique sent me this cute First Down Pant Set by Haute Baby. Isn't it the cutest? And if you can believe it, it's ten times cuter in person. Those plaid pants!! Seriously, they are just a little too big on Max, so they look a little baggy on him, and it's like I can see him as a sloppy, teenager, just rolling out of bed. And I love the layered-look in shirts. It's my very favorite type of long-sleeve tee. Both items of clothing are very, very soft, and I'm very pleased with the quality. It's just perfect for football season and fall weather. My favorites!

One Mommy Loves Giveaways winner will receive a $25 gift card to My Baby Clothes Boutique!!

Mandatory entry: To be entered to win, visit MBCB and let me know what you would buy!
