Waste Not Recylced Art Review and Giveaway

I have been so excited to share this review with you guys! You are going to want to win this one for sure!
I stumbled across Waste Not Recycled Art while doing a search for "personalized family name" on Etsy. I fell in love with a single click of the mouse. Waste Not Recycled Art specializes in these gorgeous photo letter blocks, using your pictures and letters to spell names or words. Not only are they gorgeous, one-of-a-kind decor, but they are extremely affordable. I love these as gifts for any holiday.
I crossed my fingers and emailed Waste Not Recycled Art with the hopes of doing a review, and to my absolute delight, they agreed! I chose to do our family name over our recent family pictures. Mandy was amazing to work with, and so helpful! She gave me so many options, but I decided to trust her artistic experience. I anxiously awaited my finished project and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. The blocks are stunning! Each block has a rustic, vintage feel, and each letter and picture was matched with care. The attention to detail is amazing, not one face is covered and I just could not be more satisfied. Our family blocks are arranged above our TV, and I receive so many compliments.
I love the idea of spelling out your new baby's name with the photos of the baby's feet, hands, etc and hanging on a shelf in the nursery. These blocks would also be fantastic wedding or housewarming gifts. Or even spelling out "Grandma" with each block representing a different grandchild. The possibilities are endless!

Win It:
One lucky Mommy Loves Giveaways reader will win a set of personalized photo blocks spelling Family (or a word of similar size)!!

Wordless(ish) Wednesday

Last week, I decided Max should be allowed to color. He has had access to crayons a few times at restaurants, but I bought the three-sided crayons (to help train little ones how to hold them) and gave him some blank paper.
Not real sure which one to try first...

Of course, more than a couple ended up in the mouth. If you look closely, you can see the blue line from his nose to his mouth.

The finished artwork now hangs proudly on my fridge. :D

Blush Review and Giveaway

When I was pregnant, I noticed that maternity shirts were never long enough for my ever-expanding belly. And forget about the regular shirts! I was constantly pulling down my shirt over my belly all day long. And even now, over a year later I still have a little "baby belly" in the front, so I'm still pulling down my t-shirts. How annoying!

Luckily, I have been introduced to Blush Topless Undershirts, a piece of cloth that looks like a tube top, but fits around your waist and hips. I received the brown one, and I'm already hooked. These are great for that awkward pregnant stage where your regular clothes don't fit, but maternity clothes are too big. You can leave your jeans unbuttoned, under the Blush undershirt, and no one will ever know. And you don't have to be pregnant to wear these, either. I love the layering look, but hate that I have to buy an extra shirt all the time. Plus I'm always messing with the straps underneath. This way you can pick the length of the undershirt, whether it just peeks out, or goes down to your thighs. One of my absolute favorite uses is for the nursing mother. You can pull up your shirt to nurse, without flashing your stretchmarks or new mommy flab. When I have my next baby, I'm buying a Blush Topless UndershirtBlush Topless Undershirt in every color and pattern, for sure!

***Blush has offered my readers a discount of 20% off 2 or more topless undershirts with the coupon code: welovebloggers. ***

Win It:
One lucky Mommy Loves Giveaways reader will win a Blush Topless Undershirt! (You will be able to pick the size, but not the color.)

Random Tuesday

randomtuesday

It's Random Tuesday, so here we go...

I would be having a great time away at my in-laws, but my car died the minute we got here, and I haven't been feeling well. Also, Max has decided that he doesn't want anything to do with me.

My weekend has kind of sucked.

So I'm in a funk.

I have watched more Olympics this year than I ever have before. And it's mostly been curling.

My husband in convinved that he would be awesome at curling because he has good "touch." He's delusional.

I actually had to google the rules to Curling. But seriously, 8 days of watching and we still weren't sure what the Fwack was going on.

I now know the entire history of curling. Wanna quiz me?

Okay, I'm done. You're welcome.

Thanks guys for the awesome support!! Muah!! and XOXO! and all that jazz! :o)

Out of Town

Well, it's another weekend away at the in-laws house, so I won't be around. I will try to check in a few times though, so keep entering the giveaways listed above.

Also, wish us luck, because my husband has a job interview on Tuesday.

Alphabet Photography Review and Giveaway

Two or three years ago, I came across an ad for Alphabet Photography on some Internet site. It was one of those ads that just catch your attention and when I clicked the link, I was blown away. I immediately bookmarked it and every now and then, would go back just to look. Imagine my supreme happiness when Alphabet Photography agreed to let me do a review for them!
Alphabet Photography specializes in photography of everyday objects and scenery that form letters of the alphabet. You can then put the "letters" together to form words or names, and create custom works of art. What a perfect gift idea for a newlywed couple, or a brand new baby. You can create words of your choice, or choose from their Inspirational Series. They also carry posters, calenders, or you can buy individual letters for monograms or to frame yourself.
Alphabet Photography sent me the "Home" picture from their Inspirational Series. It spells out the word "home" with the quote, "It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home." I was so happy with the quality. It is so beautiful in person. The glossy paper and sleek black frame look so chic. Since we just moved into our new place, it was the first thing I hung on the wall, right as you enter the front door. I could not be happier, and I know that no matter where I live, this picture will always be the first thing that goes up and the first thing you see as you walk in the door. Just gorgeous.

Win It:
One lucky Mommy Loves Giveaways reader will win a "Home" print just like I did!

How to Enter:
Visit Alphabet Photography and tell me something you might spell out. This entry is mandatory and must be completed before any other entries will be counted.

Extra Entries:

Bebe au Lait Review and Giveaway

Bebe au Lait is known for their chic, yet functional nursing covers, or "Hooter Hiders." But they also carry burp cloths, jewelry, bibs, hooded towels, and more. Each product is available in fun, modern prints that will make you the coolest mom on the playground. For real. :o)
Bebe au Lait sent me one of their Reversible Double Bibs to review. These bibs are unlike any I have ever seen or used! Most bibs have one side, and when it gets dirty, you have to wash it. The Bebe au Lait bibs have FOUR usable sides. One side features one of Bebe au Lait's signature prints (I chose Sevilla) and the other side is white terry cloth. The bib closes with four magnets. When one side is dirty, just pull the other side to the front. When that side gets dirty, you can flip it to the other side. Like four bibs in one, and perfect to keep in the diaper bag. I always forget to wash the diaper bag bib, but now it's not a big deal.

I did have one issues, and it took me awhile to figure it out. Every time I would wash the bib, it came out extremely wrinkled and wouldn't lay flat anymore. It finally dawned on me (actually, my mom is the one that figured it out) that the magnets were sticking to the side of the dryer and it wasn't getting "fluffed" out. Duh! So when I figure out a solution to this problem, I will be set!

Win It:
One lucky Mommy Loves Giveaways reader will win a Reversible Double Bib!

Random Tuesday

randomtuesday

It's Random Tuesday, so here we go:

We are all moved in to our new apartment and it's so nice to have our own space again, but it is a little lonely at nights when the hubs works. (He works 6pm-6am shifts.)

I think I'm going crazy. I say this because I have got a pretty bad case of baby fever, and 1)We SOOO do not need another baby any time soon, and 2)I HATED being pregnant. I had morning sickness for 7+ months and it made me really mean and cranky. I am so not a good pregnant person.

But I want to be pregnant!!

Yep, I'm crazy.

I haven't left the apartment since Friday, until today. It's just cold and I have no desire to go outside.

Our neighbors are loud. Like run up and down the stairs and leave their door open while blaring incredibly loud rap. I wonder how much of Max screaming they can hear?

Max is totally into exploring the new place. He likes to "help" me unpack and get into things he shouldn't. He's also really starting to be defiant and snotty. Ugh.

That's it for me. I can't really think this week. Get more random here. (Also, if you want to see some more of my random, click the label at the foot of this post.)

MIA

I will not be posting most of this weekend because I will be moving into our new apartment!! Wish me lots of luck and not too much stress, okay? :o)

Also, don't forget to put your names down if you want your blog featured in my new weekly post!!

Shop.com Review and Giveaway

I love to shop. When I was a little younger, before I had any real responsibilities, I would blow my money, shopping all the time. I bought clothes that I never even wore! Now, as a wife and a mother, money is tight, and every purchase must be thoroughly researched to be sure we find the best price. It can be overwhelming and time-consuming, and downright frustrating.

Shop.com is an online price-comparing website that makes shopping a little easier, by doing the hard work for you. Designed to meet the needs of busy women, Shop.com partners with over 2,000 stores to help you save time and headache. Simply type in what you are looking for and Shop.com will show you every store that carries it, and the price, allowing you to find the best deal! So easy!

Shop.com offered me a $25 gift certificate to use on their website. I had SUCH a hard time trying to decide what to get. I searched and browsed for hours. I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy something for Max, house decor, or a kitchen gadget. Then I was looking through clothes, shoes, and purses. Finally, I decided on a cute, little Valentine's nightgown for the upcoming romantic holiday. I will absolutely keep Shop.com in my Favorites Folder. It made price-comparison shopping a breeze!

Win It:
One lucky Mommy Loves Giveaways reader will win a $50 gift certificate to use at Shop.com!

How to Enter:
Visit Shop.com and tell me something you might like to buy and the lowest price you could get it for. This entry is mandatory and must be completed before any other entries will be counted.

Random Tuesday

randomtuesday

I missed last week. I wish I had a good reason, and maybe I do, but that was seven days ago and I have no idea why I missed. Sorry.

I had a GREAT weekend away with my husband! We stayed at a fabulous hotel and ordered breakfast room service. We saw one of our favorite bands (even though I hate concerts if I can't sit down and he hates concerts if he can't stand up.)

My husband and I have decided it's probably a good idea if we don't do concerts together anymore.

Max is the cutest thing ever. He has learned how to blow his nose and will do so anytime he find a tissue/towel/sock. He has had a runny nose the last few days and if I hold a tissue up, he will actually blow out most of the snot! I have no idea where he learned this!

We are moving into an apartment at the end of this week! It's really small, but it's our own space and in town! I am so excited! Like really excited! Excited enough to use about nine exclaimation points!!!!!!!!!

Did you count the exclaimation points to be sure there were nine?

Yep, I would say that's pretty random.
Go check out The Un Mom to get random yourself.

And leave comment. Don't make me beg.

Little Lasso Review and Giveaway

You know that game, that toddlers love to play, that involve them throwing their bottle/sippy/blanket/toy/your patience onto the floor over and over again? The one that causes you to bend over again and again? The one that causes you to throw out your back? I hate that game! Luckily, Max doesn't do it too often anymore, but I remember that phase all too well.
I was first introduced to The Little Lasso several months ago on a Mommy-Blog. I was actually fortunate enough to win one even. When The Little Lasso asked if I would like to do a review, of course I jumped at the chance. I chose the Tropical Squiggle fabric because it seemed nice and boyish. I really liked the fabric a lot more in person. On one end in a 'C' shaped hook that you can hang from practically anything- high chair, stroller, carseat, shopping cart, etc. On the other end is an adjustable loop that can fit around pretty much anything you don't want dropped. You don't have to worry about buttons, snaps, or velcro. It's amazing just how versatile The Little Lasso is. I mostly use it for sippy cups, but it can easily fit around a favorite stuffed animal or blanket, even. Not only does it help my back, but I don't have to worry about Max picking up icky germs from the floor. I bet you couldn't guess that this was thought of by a mom, right? :o) I would definitely recommend The Little Lasso to any parent with a toddler (or baby). The Little Lasso comes in several fun, bright colors and patterns.

Quck Update

Hello!

Just a few things. I haven't been posting as much as normal, but I've been super-duper busy. We are getting ready to move into an apartment back in town (yay!) and Max has had a nasty cough (boo!).

I've also decided that I need to spend less time online, so I'm trying to do that. The Hubs and I are going on a little anniversary weekend away, so I'm very excited to get away and reconnect and relax.

I usually have been posting giveaways every day, but I would like to do some other posts as well. This is where I need your help. What would you like to see me write more of? Please any ideas, suggestions, questions you want me to answer, anything! Should I do weekly reader questions? Should I do blog features? Topic posts for readers to share their input? I would like my blog to be a little more interactive. I want to hear what my readers think too!!

Michael Angelo's Gourment Foods Review

A couple months ago, I was contacted to see if I wanted to review Michael Angelo's Gourmet Food entrees. I said yes, because 1) I love Italian Food and 2) Frozen entrees save my sanity sometimes. They sent me a couple coupons, but, unfortunately I could not find any store near me that carried the dinners! I was disappointed, but imagine my surprise when Michael Angelo's offered to ship me a couple meals! What fantastic customer service. And then I was shocked to open a ginormous box filled with SEVEN meals!!

I was just shocked at their generosity, and we couldn't wait to try them out! We still haven't tried them all, but so far I love the Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Parmesan, and obviously the Lasagna. One thing that I'm always skeptical about in frozen meals is the meats. I have a weird thing with meat that isn't fresh (canned, frozen, microwavable) but the meats in the Michael Angelo's entrees were great. They didn't have that weird frozen taste. The meals actually looked and tasted like they were homemade. Michael Angelo's meals do not contain artificial colors, flavors, fillers, chemical preservatives, or additives, and you can tell! Even my husband liked them, and he prefers home-made food.

I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for stores that carry Michael Angelo's Gourmet Foods, because not only are they quick and easy to prepare, they are delicious! I'm dying to get my hands on a Four Cheese Lasagna!!

Preventative Health Review and Giveaway (2 winners!)

As a parent, there is nothing worse than watching your sick child, and not being able to make it better. The helplessness that comes with watching your baby in pain or not feeling good is terrible, which is why preventative health is so important. Parents have the job of taking care of your children, so the risk of illness or injury is reduced.

MyClyns is a germ-protection spray that helps you do just that. It's a non-toxic spray for the face that kills air born particles or other germs that have possibly entered through your nose, mouth, or eyes. MyClyns has been shown to reduce pathogens by 99.99%! It's actually used by first responders and public safety. I love that it's small enough to fit into my diaper bag and I always have it on hand in case Max (or myself) needs it. I feel a lot better after sitting in the doctor's germy waiting room with the MyClyns spray. It's probably a psychological thing, but whenever I use the spray, I just feel better. And Max just thinks it's funny.

It's also important to make sure your child is getting the proper nutrition and nutrients. Fiber is an important part of your child's development, but most children do not get the recommended amount. Let's face it, a lot of the foods that are rich in fiber, are just not "good" according to kids. Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies are a fiber supplement for children age 2-11 in a gummy penguin form. It's a lot easier to get your child to eat a gummy than broccoli, right? And, even better, Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies are dentist-approved! They even taste good! (Yes, I tried them.) :o) You can print off a coupon from their website!

Check each of these websites for stores near you.

One lucky Mommy Loves Giveaways reader will win a MyCleans spray and one reader will win a bottle of Fiber Gummies.

That's Amore Cheez-It Review and Giveaway

Cheez-It crackers are one of my very favorite snacks. I love pretty much every single flavor, so when I was asked if I wanted to review the newest flavor, Italian Four Cheese, I was like, "Heck Yeah!!"
I received the "That's Amore" Cheez-It package to review. This included four boxes of the new Italian Four Cheese Cheez-Its and a Dean Martin CD containing the song, "That's Amore." Just in time for Valentine's Day!

As soon as the package arrived, I ripped open a box to try them out. I really love the flavor! It's definitely got a cheese-packed punch, but the Italian seasonings give it a little something extra. I have a Cheez-It addiction, so when I start eating them, it's really, really hard to stop. I have to work at not eating a whole box in one sitting! :o) I also took a listen to the Dean Martin CD. It's not my typical style of music, but I think it's nice to have on hand. There are some nice easy-listening songs, that make me feel really grown-up when I had it playing. :o)

One lucky Mommy Loves Giveaways Readers is going to win a "That's Amore" package that I received! To enter, visit Cheez-It and tell me your favorite product.
