I like to buy my kids toys that are not only fun but educational as well. The problem with that is most educational toys don't hold my boys interest for very long...well that is until we got some Smarcks.
Smarcks (Smart Blocks) are talking building blocks. That's right, I said talking blocks! At first glance, Smarcks look like your ordinary building blocks. They're big, bright and colorful, but unlike regular building blocks Smarcks also have special blocks that talk.
I received the Smarcks 70 piece building block set that comes with 1 talking block, and I also received the Colors, Nursery Rhyme, ABC, Shapes & Counting, Music and Dancing lights, and Math talking blocks. These talking blocks are sold separately from the 70 piece set.
My kids love their Smarcks and my husband calls them "amazing". The sound clarity is excellent and the blocks are good quality, you can tell they're made to last. I really like the ABC blocks, because pretty soon my little one will be talking and these will be a fun way to help him learn his ABC's. I also like the plastic container they come in too, we plan on keeping ours in the container so they don't get mixed up with other blocks. I think it's a neat idea, making kids blocks that talk, why didn't I ever think of that?!
My 1-year-old loves putting the blocks together. He's too young to know which ones will talk, but whenever he's playing and they start talking or singing he get's up and starts dancing. My 7-year-old, finds it really interesting that the blocks talk. He's a little too old for the nursery rhymes, counting, and shapes, but he still loves to play with blocks. I think that's one of the great things about Smarcks, kids can still play with them even when they're too old for the talking blocks.
