Nutrisystem Weigh In Week #5

This was a tough week for me. Since I've been on Nutrisystem I've been dedicated to following the diet and losing weight. My motivation was sky high, especially when the pounds were melting off. But this week my grandma passed away. My heart is broken and my motivation disappeared. I tried sticking to my diet but I kept pigging out. I know it was emotional eating. This week I gained 1 pound :(

Weight Loss:
Week 1 -----4 pounds
Week 2-----0 pounds
Week 3-----4 pounds
Week 4-----2 pounds
Week 5---- +1 pound

Total Lost: 9 pounds!

I hate that I gained a pound this week, but I know it's my own fault. Part of my weight loss journey is learning how to do deal with my eating triggers and emotional eating is obviously one of them. I was doing great when life was going good, but I have to learn to continue to do good even when life gets rough. This was a rough week. Next week I will get back on track because I know I can do this. I WANT TO DO THIS!

I just got a new shipment of my Frozen meals, they're so good, so I just need to get back in the game!

  3. I am sorry to hear about your grandma. Times like this it's understandable and when things settle back in (easier to say than do) you will get back on track. No need to feel guilty!

  4. I'm so sorry for your loss. Eating more when you're dealing with a loss is a normal thing. My weight has yo-yoed up and down over the last few years because I deal with grief and stress by overeating. The most important thing is to just take care of yourself during this time and don't stress too much about the diet. The great thing is, since you have this plan pre-prepared for you, you've got something to fall back on and help you feel less overwhelmed. A week is nothing to stress about at all. Also, keep in mind your weight fluctuates from week to week, you you may have been 1 pound up regardless. Hang in there!

  7. So sorry for your loss. I'm an emotional eater too and I know that it's tough to eat right when you're grieving.
    I hope that you're program will get back on track - and on the bright side - only one pound gained is pretty darn good considering...

    From one stress eater to another--don't despair you are doing so well, your goals are within your reach, allow yourself time to grieve and then get back on it! You've already proven that you are stronger that "it."
