Nutrisystem Weigh In Week 17

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I was a total FAILURE this week.  My husband and I were both off of work for the week, for Thanksgiving vacation and boy did I get my grub on.  To be honest, I figured I would just cheat on Thanksgiving day, then get back on my Nutrisystem diet and be good.  I was so wrong!  There was food everywhere and I couldn't resist.  Now I know how hard it is to be on a diet during the holidays.  This week I gained 2 pounds.

Weight Loss:
Week 1 -----4 pounds lost
Week 2-----0 pounds lost
Week 3-----4 pounds lost
Week 4-----2 pounds lost
Week 5----+1 pound gained
Week 6-----4 pounds lost
Week 7-----2 pounds lost
Week 8-----0 pounds lost
Week 9-----1.5 pounds lost
Week 10-----2 pounds lost
Week 11-----2 pounds lost
Week 12-----0.5 pounds lost
Week 13-----2 pound lost
Week 14-----1 pounds lost
Week 15-----2.5 pounds lost
Week 16-----1.5 pounds lost 
Week 17----+2 pound gained

Total Pounds Lost: 26!!

I guess 2 pound isn't too bad, considering all the food I ate.  I actually didn't do too bad on Thanksgiving.  I had been sick Tuesday and Wednesday so my appetite wasn't too big on Thanksgiving day.  It was shopping the Black Friday sales that got me.  I had Jack in the Box about 1 AM on Black Friday and then when I shopped more on the weekend I had more fast food.  Of course having family down for the holidays didn't help either.  We did a lot of eating out with the family.

I'm pretty disappointed in the weight gain, but at the same time it's a good reminder about how bad my eating habits can get.  As much as I want to lose the weight quickly, I have to realize that losing weight for good is a lifestyle change. I've seen that when I commit myself, I can lose weight.  I did bad this last week, but I'm not going to give up.  I'll be back on my Nutrisystem program this week to lose those 2 pounds I gained!!

  1. the holidays are always tough on my weight too. Just keep on doing the best you can...January will be here soon!

  2. I wouldn't get discouraged. Weight can fluctuate a lot anyway, so a 2 lb gain this week doesn't mean your progress is undone. Like you said, weight loss is about changing your whole lifestyle, which means progress may be slower at times but will be lasting. Plus, I don't know ANYONE who doesn't overeat at the holidays! It's pretty challenging when people are shoving Christmas cookies at you at every turn! The great thing is, since you're on this program, you have a great diet that is there for you reliably and will be there to back you up during the holiday craziness, no matter what goes on.

  3. i didn't lose anything this week either- no gains, no losses- the holidays are a b-word! LOL
