Flip Flop Spanish Review and Giveaway!

I wish I knew how to speak Spanish. We live in California and knowing Spanish would be a big help, since there are so many Spanish speakers here. Flip Flop Learning is a language learning program geared towards helping kids learn different languages. Flip Flop Learning was created by Spanish teacher, Suzanne Gose, and is a fun way to learn a new language.
"Every other page is upside-down for a purpose! Flip the book all the way back so your student can see and focus on only one page at a time. As you both work through the lessons, your student gets a glimpse of what's to come! "
I received the Flip Flop Spanish workbook, Spanish Fun Activity calendar, and Flip Flop Jot for review. The Flip Flop Jot (not pictured) is a magnetic memo pad with Spanish words and phrases listed at the top. There's lots of room for writing down your to do list. I keep mine stuck to the fridge so I can grab it whenever I need it.

The Flip Flop Spanish workbook, is spiral bound, making it easy to flip through. I like that each page has an activity on it, but isn't filled with too many activities. I know if my son see's a page filled with too many activities he'll start whining that it'll take to long to complete. The workbook also comes with a Spanish CD.

My favorite item is the Spanish Fun Activity Calendar. The twelve month calendar has a new word listed everyday. The calender pictures come in black and white so kids can color them in. Kids can also practice there new Spanish words by labeling the items pointed out in the picture.

I think the Flip Flop Spanish Learning products are a good way to help learn Spanish. I like that they are child friendly, that way kids will want to learn too.

One lucky Mommy Loves Giveaways reader will win a Flip Flop Spanish workbook, Spanish Fun Activity calendar, and Flip Flop Jot of their own.

Where to buy: You can purchase the Flip Flop Learning products mentioned above and other learning products at Flip Flop Learning.

To Win:

Messy Baby Review and Giveaway

I came across Messy Baby one day while stalking browsing Etsy. I knew I had to beg to let me feature their shop. All items are handmade, with fun, modern fabrics. There is not one thing in the shop that I wouldn't love to bring to my home.
If you've had even one kiddo, you know the bib is a mandatory staple. Not only for dinner time, but they are a lifesaver if your kid is  drool king (or queen). I love love LOVE these cute Yummy Cupcake bibs. How sweet are those cupcakes and mini hearts? The colors are so bright and fun. Come on - I would wear a bib like that. Seriously.
I want these GirlyGirl Paci Clips! I am a sucker for the pink/black/white color combo. Max was (is!) such a binky-baby, and we never had these cool clips to save the dropped binky. I always carried a handful, because there's nothing worse than dropping the only binky you have. These are cute AND functional.

I think this Petit Confection Minky Dot Stroller Blanket is too cute. I love the pretty fabric, and it's backed with minky fabric, which, let's face it, you can't get much softer and cozier. It's the perfect size, too. I want!!

Messy Baby sent me the Little Birdies Burp Cloth Duo to review. These burp cloths are so cute! I have some "designer burp cloths" but these are by far my favorite. Instead of a cute pattern sewn onto a cloth diaper, these are completely backed with soft chenille. They measure about 9x17, perfect shoulder size. If Baby #2 is anything like her big brother, Max, then I'm going to get a lot of use out of these! Plus, they're super cute. :)

One lucky MLG reader is going to win a set of Little Birdies Burp Cloth Duo too!!

The Cupcake Tower Review

I hate cooking, but I love decorating desserts! I like making pretty cupcakes and cakes. With cupcakes becoming more popular, I've noticed that they look so much more fancier when they're on a tower. It's all about the presentation! I started searching for a cupcake tower, and was surprised by how hard they were too find. They were either unattractive (made out of cardboard or Styrofoam) and could only be used once, or they were nice but outrageously expensive.

Then I came across The Cupcake Tower...and fell in LOVE! The Cupcake Tower has GORGEOUS towers for cupcakes and cake pops. They're so simple and elegant looking, I just love the center scrolls. They come in four different sizes, tiny, small, medium and large. They're made from wood and can be used over and over. Prices range between $35-$185. When you order your cupcake tower you also get your color choice of ribbon to go around it. I love that you can change the ribbons to coordinate with your event.

I received the small cupcake tower for review. I was super excited about getting it! The small tower holds approximately 72 standard size cupcakes. I chose the purple ribbon for mine. The tower is easy to set up and take apart. It's also very sturdy, since its made from wood. I was so worried that my purple cake was going to stain the white laminate, but it didn't. Cleaning it was so easy all I did was wipe it down with a damp napkin. It also folds flat for easy storage. One thing I love about the cupcake tower is that its expandable. The Cupcake Tower sells spare parts, so you won't need to buy another tower if you need a bigger one. My niece's birthday was last weekend and I offered to make the cake. The cupcake tower really made it stand out! Everyone loved it! I loved it! I can't say enough about how much I love my cupcake tower...I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

Father's Day Traditions

Father's Day is coming up, and I still need to find a gift for my dad! Every Father's Day, my family gets together and orders in food to give my dad a break from the grill. My dad is the cook in the family, so on Father's Day we usually order in or go out to eat. We don't have any big traditions, we just get together with the family, eat, give my dad some gifts and have a good time. My husband is also a father so we include him in the celebrations too. Which reminds me I need to get him a card and gift too! Tiny Prints carries really cute Father's Day cards, here's a couple I have my eye on...

I like them both! I'm going to have a tough time picking out my favorite. What are some of your Father's Day traditions? I'd love to hear about them. I'd like to do something special for my hubby. Who knows, maybe I can start a new Father's Day tradition with my boys for their dad.

Tide Blast from the Past Giveaway!

"In a bygone era when women wore dresses and high heels to carry their families’ laundry in a wicker basket to their very first automatic washing machine, they turned to Tide for “the cleanest clothes possible.” More than a half-century later, families still turn to Tide, now offered in more than two dozen liquid and powder formulas."
To celebrate its 65th Anniversary, Tide is issuing special-edition packages with the 1947 label. Procter & Gamble (P&G) invites consumers to enjoy a blast from the past with retro-packaged Tide, Bounce and Downy available at Target in May, while supplies last.

Thank goodness times have changed. The women who wore dresses and high heels to do laundry sure do put me to shame! As part of their vintage promotion Procter & Gamble sent me a "retro" t-shirt featuring the Tide logo, a full size Bounce Dryer Bar, and some samples of Tide and Downy. The "retro" Tide t-shirt they sent me is one of the softest and best smelling t-shirts I've ever owned! I was pretty excited about the Bounce dryer bar because I've been wanting to try it out but had never gotten around to it. The Bounce dryer bar works so well, that both my mother and I have decided to make the switch from Bounce dryer sheets to the bar. It's so convenient, because once you stick in the bar you don't have to worry about it for a couple of months!

Procter & Gamble is generously offering TWO prize packs to our readers! The prize packs include a FULL size Bounce Bar, a "retro" Tide t-shirt (colors may very), and samples of Tide and Downy.
To Win:
Mandatory Entry: Follow Mommy Loves Giveaways on Google Friend Connect. Leave a comment letting me know you follow with your name and email.

Busy Spring...

Wow this spring has really flown by fast. I think it's because I've been busy with birthday parties and graduations. So many things to do I can barely catch my breath. My camera is filled with so many great memories. My baby just turned one a couple weeks ago. We did the Lil Prince theme for his party, since he's my little prince! He got so many wonderful birthday cards and presents. I can't wait to turn his 1st birthday pictures into a photobook. I did that for my oldest son too, and one day when they're older I'll give it to them to keep.

This spring my mother in law graduated from college, we're so proud of her. We got lots of great pictures of her too. I love giving photo gifts, so I'll be making something for her soon, with her graduation picture. Then in 3 weeks my sister in law graduates from college too! I told you it's been a busy spring! I'm not complaining though, we have lots of fun when the whole family gets together. Summer is just a few weeks away and I hope that doesn't flew by too fast, I want to enjoy my vacation with my boys!

"Have a blog? Sign up for a chance at 50 free cards from Shutterfly."

Disclaimer: I am participating in Shutterfly's Spring Announcements blog program. I will receive a photobook.

Pixie Pen Pal Review and Giveaway!

What child wouldn't want the gift of magic? There aren't many places that sell magical gifts but Pixie Pen Pals lets you give the magic of fairies! With enchanting fairy doors, scrolls, and gift bags you can create a beautiful enchanting fairy garden. Imagine the look on your child's face when they discover a secret scroll from a fairy and find a beautifully decorated fairy garden!
"A fairy door (a magic portal to the world of the wee folk), a moss chair (so fairies have somewhere to sit when they sing and talk to seedlings) a garden gate, two mushroom pedestals, an orchid bloom frozen in time by magic, a bottle of magic fairy mix for sprinkling, smoothed ocean glass for building a pathway, a watering tin and rainbow-casting crystal"
I received a GORGEOUS Fairy Garden Pixie Gift Bag in Pink to review. Everything in my gift bag was beautifully detailed. An elegant pink tassel wrapped around the pink organza bag, along with a small envelop stamped with tiny gold footprints. It was addressed to me from my pixie pen pal. Inside my bag was a nest that contained a small flower pot. My flower pot contained lots of magical goodies (as mentioned in the quote above) to help decorate my fairy garden. My favorite item is the seeded scroll paper. Not only does it look antique but it also can be planted to grow wildflowers. Every piece of paper (excluding the envelop and card inside) can be planted in the flower pot provided. Practically everything I need to start creating my fairy garden.

I think the Fairy Garden Gift bag is gorgeous. My 7 year old son, found it really interesting (especially the flowers growing from the papers!) but thought it was too girly.

Photobucket

Fairy Garden gift bags are not just for kids. They can also be baby shower and wedding gifts. The Fairy Garden gift bags are also customizable. The garden dish can be personalized with a birthday, special date, or message.

One lucky Mommy Loves Giveaways reader will win a Fairy Garden Gift Bag with their choice of customization (color and personalization) a value of $89!

IMPORTANT: Fairy gift bags are not for children under 6, as small items are choking hazards. Children should be supervised when opening, decorating, and building their fairy gardens. More safety information is provided on Pixie Pen Pals.

Where to buy: You can purchase fairy doors, scrolls, and gift bags (also available in different colors) at Pixie Pen Pals.

Baby Genius DVD Review and Giveaway!

My baby loves to dance! As soon as he hears music he is bobbing his head up and down and shaking his booty. I love watching him dance, it's so cute. Baby Genius provides music-based products that are both entertaining and educational. Baby Genius DVDs are filled with classical music and feature the Baby Genius characters.

I was able to pick two Baby Genius DVD/CD combo's for review. I chose Underwater Adventures and A Trip to the San Diego Zoo. I chose Underwater Adventures because I'm fascinated with the ocean and I chose A Trip to the San Diego Zoo because we haven't been there yet.

Underwater Adventures includes footage from the Aquarium of the Pacific. Kids will see many different sea creatures such as sea turtles, jelly fish, dolphins, manta rays, sea lions and of course fish, lots of different fish! Animated sea creatures also appear throughout the video. I thought Underwater Adventures was a cute way to show my kids some sea creatures.

In a Trip to the San Diego Zoo, kids will be able to visit the zoo without leaving the house! We saw hippos, pandas, tigers, tropical birds, gorillas and many other animals. This video is perfect for animal lovers.

I think Underwater Adventures and A Trip to the Zoo are cute videos for young kids. My baby who just turned one, watched both of the video's off and on. The music is what caught his attention the most. Every few minutes he'd dance a little to the music. My older son enjoyed seeing all of the animals, however, I think he got bored because there's no talking in the videos, only music. Both DVDs have classical music playing throughout them. Along with real footage of animals, the Baby Genius cartoon characters also appear in the videos.

Both DVDs came with bonus CDs. I really like that they came with CDs. We keep them in the car to play for the kids. I would much rather have them listening to the Baby Genius CDs then most of the music that plays on the radio.

One lucky winner will win both the Underwater Adventures and A Trip to the San Diego Zoo DVD/CD combo packs!

Where to buy: You can purchase these DVDs and others from Baby Genius.

My Twins First Birthday Book Reveiw and Giveaway!

I love reading! As a kid you could always find me with a book. Now that I'm a mom I don't have much time for reading, but I make sure my kids have lots of books to read. In celebration of our 1st Birthday Bash we have a cute Birthday Book to giveaway!

My Twins First Birthday is part of the "My Twins" series written by 13 year old Paris Morris. The "My Twin" series is actually about Paris and her real life twin sisters. Paris has also written a couple of travel books that she also stars in. Pretty impressive for a 13 year old, right?! In My Twins First Birthday, big sister Paris, helps plan out her little twin sister's 1st birthday party. The story starts out with her feeling left out and goes onto her helping out with her sister's party.

My Twins First Birthday is a really cute children's book. The pictures are eye catching and fun to look at since they are bright and colorful! The Baby Habit Review and Giveaway!

Ever since I had my baby last year, I'm always on the look out for stores that carry baby products. The Baby Habit carries practically everything you need for your baby. When I first discovered the Baby Habit I was amazed by their endless supply of baby toys, I didn't even realize they carry so much more! The Baby Habit also carries strollers, baby bouncers, breast pumps and tons of other baby products. It's pretty great being able to find all the things you need in one place.

I received the Melissa and Doug Tabletop Art Easel for review. I've heard about Melissa and Doug toys before but never owned one until now, and now I know what all the talks about. The Tabletop Art Easel is solid wood and very sturdy. No cheap plastic here! The wood is painted in primary colors, blue, red, green, and yellow so it's perfect for either boys or girls. It's also double sided with one side being a chalkboard and the other being a dry-erase board. It even comes with magnets (it has magnetic surfaces!), a dry erase marker and eraser, and a box of multicolored chalk. Everything your little artist needs to get started!

My son has been enjoying his easel ever since we got it. The nice thing about having a tabletop easel is it's portability. My son can use it in his room or in the living room, he can even take it with him to grandma's house. The tabletop easel is perfect for us, because there's no room in my son's room for a full size easel. It's also easy to store since it folds up. I love that it folds up, we just slide it under my son's bed when he's done using it.

One lucky Mommy Loves Giveaways reader will be winning a $25 gift certificate to the Baby Habit!

Where to buy: You can purchase the Melissa and Doug Tabletop Art Easel or many other baby toys and supplies at the Baby Habit.

To Win:

Mandatory Entry (MUST DO BOTH): Leave a comment telling me what you'll pick from the Baby Habit if you win AND follow Mommy Loves Giveaways on Google Friend Connect. Make sure to let me know you did both in a comment with your name and email.

Cubbie Cup Review and Giveaway!

I'd never heard of the Cubbie Cub before so when I got the chance to review it, I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, I'm glad I got the chance to review it, because I like it! The Cubbie Cup is a BPA & PVC free sippy cup and snack cup in one. Here's what the Cubbie Cup look like:

I have to say I'm more impressed with the actual cup then how it looks in the picture. The picture just doesn't do it justice. The Cubbie Cup is really cute and practical! It's large enough for toddlers to hold on to easily and is great for traveling. Instead of your toddler having to hold two separate containers for snack and juice, the Cubbie Cup holds both. This Cuts back the number of containers you have to travel with as well.

I really like the snack side of the cup. I like that my son can easily stick his hand in and grab the snacks, and that the snacks won't spill out if he turns the cup upside down. It's an easy way for me to let him have a snack and know they won't spill every where. The Cubbie Cup is currently available only in green, but they may come out with different colors in the future. I think the Cubbie Cup would look great in different colors, I already like that it's see through, but I think more colors would be fun.

One lucky Mommy Loves Giveaways reader will win a Cubbie Cup of their own!

Where to Buy: You can purchase the Cubbie Cup on the Cubbie Cup website.
To Win:
Mandatory Entry: Follow Mommy Loves Giveaways on Google Friend Connect. Make sure to let me know you follow in a comment with your name and email.

Magic Cabin Review and Giveaway!

I love watching my son use his imagination when he plays. I loved playing make believe too, when I was growing up. Magic Cabin also believes in good-old fashion make believe play and provides toys that are enchanting, natural, and safe. From crafts to make believe, Magic Cabin carries toys that are sure to spark your child's imagination. I really like the selection of toys that Magic Cabin carries, many of them are eco-friendly. They have so many fun toys, it makes me wish I was still a kid!
Magic Cabin was kind enough to provide me with two toys to review! I picked out the Sand and Water Table and the E-Vehicle Dump Truck. I was super excited when my packages arrived because we've never owned a Sand and Water Table before, and they look like so much fun! The Sand and Water table is really easy to set up, all you have to do is stick the legs in and you're done. It's a small table with two different compartments, one to hold sand and the other water. The water compartment has a drain for easy clean up. It comes with a lot of toys too, such as a shovel, rake, boat, floating toys, and a castle that can also mold sand. My favorite part is that it also has a table top cover, so the kids can still play with it without water and sand. Another cool thing is that everything fits inside the table, so you can easily store it. It's really light so we're thinking about taking it to the beach with us the next time we go. I'm so glad I picked it out, my kids are going to use it all summer long!

I am really impressed with the E-Vehicle Dump Truck. You can immediately tell it's a high quality toy, because it's nice and sturdy. It's also eco-friendly since it's made out of bamboo and natural rubber. I think it's so cool that it's made out of bamboo! I never knew bamboo grew so thick, and it's amazing to see on the truck. My baby likes it, and it's easy for him to grab, because it's so large.

Magic Cabin has some really cool toys, and one lucky Mommy Loves Giveaways reader will win a $50 gift certificate to spend at Magic Cabin!

Where to buy: You can purchase any of the items pictured above and much more at Magic Cabin.
To Win:
Mandatory Entry (MUST DO BOTH): Leave a comment telling me what you'll pick from Magic Cabin if you win AND follow Mommy Loves Giveaways on Google Friend Connect. Make sure to let me know you did both in a comment with your name and email.
