Nutrisystem Weigh In Week #4

Wow, I can't believe it's been one month since I've started Nutrisystem! It honestly doesn't even feel like I'm on a "real" diet. By "real", I mean a diet that I hate and can't wait to get off of. Nutrisystem is nothing like that. I enjoy most of the food and it's so easy and convenient. Best of all I'm having great results so I have no reason to want to get off!

This week I've lost 2 pounds! Making it a total of 10 for my first month. I've also lost 2 inches off my arms and 4 inches off my waist. I'm super happy! My husband keeps telling me he can see me shrinking. I am loving my Nutrisystem results!
Weight Loss:
Week 1 -----4 pounds
Week 2-----0 pounds
Week 3-----4 pounds
Week 4-----2 pounds

Total Lost: 10 pounds!

Before I became a Nutrisystem Blogger, I use to watch the Nutrisystem commercials and wondered if it worked. I wondered what exactly you got for your money and if the food was good. I'm happy to be apart of the Nutrisystem Blogger program because I get to share my honest opinions with you.

Here's a video of what you can expect from your first Nutrisystem shipment:

My box only contained 18 days of meals because I'm on the Women's Select Program. I also received 10 days of frozen foods but hadn't received them in time for my video.

Want to lose weight and get healthy on Nutrisystem? Join today by calling 1-888-853-4689 or by visiting Nutrisystem.

Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey "Fully Charged" Review

Wow, my family and I had an awesome time tonight at the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey "Fully Charged" Circus! This was all of our first time going to a Ringling Bros. Circus show, and now I know why it's called "The Greatest Show on Earth"!

We arrived early so we could see the animals up close in the animal open house. This is free with admission, but you must arrive early (90 minutes) because after a certain time they close it to get the animals ready for the show. The boys really enjoyed seeing the animals before the show and were impressed with the tigers and elephants.

(My son holding his sno-fun in an elephant cup!)

"Fully Charged" couldn't be a more perfect name for the show. Every part of the performance is bright, energetic and lively. The show is very fast paced and entertaining. Usually during long periods my son will start to get fidgety, but he had no problem staying still for "Fully Charged". He was either cheering and applauding the performers or watching with anticipation!

We all loved the high-wire performance. It was four stories high and the performance was breath taking, seriously my husband held his breath the whole time. We were dazzled by four performers who walked, jumped and even rode a bike on the tight-rope high-wire.

The Tiger act was one of the boys favorites. They were amazed to see Tabayara (the tiger trainer) caged in with 12 tigers! They couldn't believe that the tigers listened to him and did as he said. This was a really fun performance.
My favorite act was The Human Fuse. Brain Maiser aka "The Human Fuse" was launched through the air from a crossbow. I've always heard about the human cannon in a circus show, so I was really excited to see this. Ringling Bros. took it to the next level, not only did Brain soar through the air but he did it WHILE on fire! Yes, they lit him on fire! We loved it!

My family and I had such a great time at the Circus tonight! I know the boys will have some great stories to share with their friends.

There's still time to visit the circus this weekend! Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's "Fully Charged" Tour is in Bakersfield, CA with performances on Saturday, August 27th (times: 11:30 AM, 3:30 PM, and 7:30 PM) and Sunday, August 28th (times: 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM). Ticket prices range from $15-$65 and can be bought at Rabobank.

Disclaimer: Special thanks to our sponsors who arranged to have my family and I attend the show for free in order for me to write my review. No monetary compensation was given and all opinions are my own.

Campus Book Rentals

Time to put away the bathing suits and bring out the books! Summer vacation is ending and school is starting. My husband will be heading back to school this fall to continue working on his Master's. We both know how important education is and how expensive it can be. Tuition and books really add up. College textbooks are outrageously expensive. You can spend a lot of money on books unless you're smart and you rent them...

Campus Book Rentals is a great way to get your textbooks for cheap. Instead of buying them you rent them! Renting textbooks can save you up to 90%.

Campus Book Rentals:
  • Free shipping BOTH WAYS
  • 30-Day Risk-Free Returns
  • Live Customer Support
  • Largest Selection in the Nation
  • Trusted Source since 2007
  • Most Flexible Rental Periods

The website is easy to use, even if you've never rented books online before. There's a "How to Rent" tab near the top of the page. From their you can read step-by-step details on how to rent your textbooks. There's also a "Help" tab, which has just about every FAQ you can think of.

I like that Campus Book Rentals allows you to write or highlight in their books. I know some people find it easier to study that way. I also like that they have a 15 day grace period AND free shipping! They're really making it easy to for you to save money on textbooks!

I wish I'd heard about Campus Book Rentals when I was going to college. I spent a lot of money on textbooks and never got around to reselling them. Now they're old and taking up space in my house. Now that I know about them, my husband will definitely being using Campus Book Rentals for his textbooks!

Disclaimer: Campus Book Rentals is providing me with a discount on my next book rental purchase in exchange for this post. However all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Any Random Jane Review

When it comes to decorating, a little splash of color here and there, can go along way. I love finding simple and affordable ways to decorate my home. Just recently I was introduced to Any Random Jane, an online shop that has stylish decor that is fun, functional, and affordable. The Any Random Jane collection contains wall art, photo mats, and reusable gift tags and place cards. The collection is simple, sleek, and colorful.

I was sent several samples from the Any Random Jane collection for review. I received The Reusable Place Card Kit, a reusable gift tag, and 3 reversible photo mats (4x6, 5x7, and 8x10). All of these items are reusable, tear-proof, and water-proof because they're laminated! Since they're laminated they can be personalized and written on using a dry-erase marker.

I really like The Reusable Place Card Kit. It comes with everything you need: 10 eye-popping laminated place cards and a dry-erase marker WITH an eraser attached, inside a clear handy envelope. The designs on the place cards are cute and modern. I love that they are reusable, if you mess up on someone's name no need to toss out the place card, just erase it and start over!

The photo mats are a super easy and inexpensive way to enhance any picture. The photo mats are also reversible so if you want to change up the look just flip the mat around. The colors are bright and eye catching. Another great thing about the photo mats is that you can use them over and over again and never have to worry about them tearing.

The Any Random Jane collection is simple and fun. Everything looks modern and girly and best of all it's really affordable. This is perfect for anyone who wants do a little decorating with out breaking the bank.

Nutrisystem weigh in week #3

I had a great week on Nutrisystem this week! Today is my week 3 weigh in and I lost 4 pounds!! I am so happy. I was pretty disappointed last week when the scaled didn't budge, but this week the scale just kept going down, down, down! Seeing the numbers go down on the scale is seriously my biggest motivation. This week I ate a lot of the fresh-frozen foods from the Nutrisystem Select program and LOVED it!

Nutrisystem Select
  • 10 days of Chef inspired fresh-frozen menu
  • 18 days of ready-to-go foods (basic Nutrisystem)
I am so happy to be on the Nutrisystem Women's Select plan. The fresh-frozen foods are soooo good. I mentioned in week 2 that I was having a hard time with the lunch portion of Nutrisystem (I'm a picky eater) but I LIKED everyone of the Nutrisystem frozen lunches. There were some I thought I wouldn't like and ended up loving. I saved the Toasted Ham and Cheese for last because I didn't think I'd like it, but I LOVED it. It was so yummy!

Favorite Frozen Breakfasts:
  • Homestyle Pancakes
  • Ham and Cheese Omelet
  • Golden French Toast

Favorite Frozen Lunches:
  • Toasted Ham & Cheese
  • Steak & Cheese Melt
  • Margherita Pizza

Favorite Frozen Dinners
:
  • Turkey Pepperoni Pizza
  • Ravioli Formaggio
  • Chicken Alfredo

Favorite Frozen Desserts
:
  • ALL ICE CREAM!!!

I love that Nutrisystem Select has Ice Cream for dessert, it's delicious. I really enjoy the ice cream sandwiches. I always look forward to my Nutrisystem dessert, it's like a treat for being good all day on my diet :)

Beanie Designs Review and Giveaway

I was recently introduced to Beanie Designs, a website specializing in handmade baby hats. They have the cutest selection, and being handmade, you know that you are getting a little something extra, and the quality is going to be exceptional.

I had the opportunity to pick out a hat to review. It was so hard to pick just one! I thought the website was super easy to navigate -you can view hats by style, age and gender, and tons more options. The newborn hats were so sweet, and I could picture my little princess in several of them.

In the end, I chose this Organic cotton earflap hat in navy blue for Max. The organic cotton makes it super soft, and I personally love the ear flaps, because I know his little ears are staying warm. He is definitely an outside kid, no matter the weater, so it's one less thing I have to worry about. The earflap hats are perfect baby winter hats, for sure.

What's your favorite hat? Tell me your favorite and you just might win it! (Mandatory entry)

With over 300 million books sold, R.L. Stine's wildly successful children's stories (www.scholastic.com/goosebumps) come to life with two all new-terrifying tales. First, Attack of the Mutant includes "Attack of the Mutant Parts 1 & 2" and follows Skipper Matthews and his awesome comic book collection. Skipper's favorite is The Masked Mutant, the story of an evil, power-mad super villain who is out to gain control of the universe. One day, while lost in a strange part of town, Skipper discovers a building that mysteriously resembles the Mutant's secret headquarters...a building that magically disappears. Has Skipper read one too many comic books? Or does The Masked Mutant really exist? The DVD also features "Phantom of the Auditorium."

Next, Ghost Beach includes "The Barking Ghost" and follows Cooper Holmes, a young man who is scared of just about everything. His father says he's the only kid to scare himself on Halloween! But as he moves into a new house, this time Cooper is not just scared of his own shadow. In "Be Careful What You Wish For," class klutz Samantha Byrd is the laughingstock of the girls' basketball team. But now, Samantha has found someone who will grant her three wishes. Too bad she wasn't more careful as now Sam's wishes are turning her life into a living nightmare! Lastly, "Ghost Beach" focuses on Jerry, who is thrilled by the prospect of exploring the dark, eerie old cave he discovered down by the beach. My son started 3rd grade this year. I still can't believe I have such a big handsome boy already! Third grade is an important year for us. It's the start of getting letter grades on report cards, being able to get on Honor Roll, and being able to join band. I am very HOPEFUL my son will being getting good grades and receiving honor roll. He'll be trying out for band too, but is still deciding on what instrument to play. It's also his first year of playing football. Last year he received perfect attendance and the school rewarded him by taking him to Chuckee E. Cheese, I know he wants to get perfect attendance this year too. I am so proud of my boy! I just know he's going to do well this year.

I have so wonderful memories of my 3rd grade year and I hope my son has just as many!

I know many parents are still waiting for their kids to start school this year. With school starting in a couple of weeks, back to school shopping is in full swing. Check out the back to school supplies you can get from Tiny Prints. You can get personalized notepads, planners, address labels, even dorm decorations!
